Introduction, propositions, speculations

Nano-Verses is a reminder of the interweaving of science and art in media history and innovation. Since the primary use of nano-optical images has so far has been in the security printing industry, we wanted to open up these technologies by asking how technical inquiry mutates when different questions are asked: what kind of visual medium could we produce from such nano-optical materials? How does a dialogue between fields and disciplines redraw the trajectories of emerging technologies?
